Lettuce Harvesting Aid

B Forster Engineering designed and manufactured this custom Lettuce Picking Trailer for an organic farming operation on the Mornington Peninsula.

Built to improve harvesting efficiency and reduce manual handling, the trailer incorporates a range of practical features tailored to the client's requirements, including:

• Honda generator-powered electrical system

• Electrically driven conveyors with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) for adjustable conveyor speeds

• Fold-out shade wings to improve operator comfort in the field

• Insulated Foam Ceiling for worker comfort, and for ease of cleaning

• Fold-down platform providing additional storage space for pallets and harvest bins

• Swing out conveyor for flexible loading and unloading operations

This project demonstrates our ability to develop custom engineered solutions that enhance productivity and meet the unique needs of agricultural businesses.
