Outboard motor breakaway / kick up plates

Our Outboard Motor Kickup Plates are built to fit most boats and motors up to 70hp, offering reliable protection when moving slowly over obstacles such as logs or debris. Designed to lift up and out with ease, these plates help prevent damage to your motor and boat while ensuring a smoother, safer journey.

Constructed from 6mm 316 stainless steel and made to suit the BIA bolt pattern, they’re strong, corrosion-resistant, and easy to install.

• 12mm Offset from original - The kick up plate uses 6mm Stainless Sheet in its construction. Which means it will move your outboard motor rearwards by 12mm.

What to look out for during fitment

• By moving the outboard motor back by 12mm. If fitted with Cable Steering, the Steering Rod may come very close to the hull of the boat, We have included a Cable Steering offset Plate, which gets attached to the end of the Steering Rod. So the bottom of the bolts clears the Hull.

• Some motors have lug mounts to hand mount motors to the back of Boats. These will need to be trimmed to allow the motor to kick up without clashing with the hull.
